Hello Friends,

A little over a week ago, I released Building Serverless Applications with WebAssembly & Spin on Leanpub
. It’s been an incredible ride, and I still highly recommend Leanpub for anyone looking into self-publishing.

However, I know many of you prefer to keep all your reading in one place without creating new accounts.

To make it as easy as possible to get your hands on a copy, I’m excited to share that the book is now available on Amazon in both Paperback and Kindle eBook formats!

Hey friends 👋🏼,

The wait is finally over! After countless early mornings, extensive refactorings, and hours spent obsessing over every code sample and diagram, the first version of Building Serverless Applications with WebAssembly & Spin is officially live.

You can grab your copy right now on Leanpub:

Building Serverless Applications with WebAssembly & Spin

What the Book Is About

Server-side WebAssembly represents the next major evolution in cloud architecture. By combining sub-millisecond cold starts, near-native performance, and robust sandboxed isolation, Wasm components eliminate the overhead of traditional containers and function-as-a-service platforms.

Book Progress & Illustrations

Here we are, another week later. Again, a few days have passed since I’ve published my last update on the book and shared some thoughts on inclusive pricing
.

Since I’ve published that update, I’ve made some substantial progress. Overall, I consider the first six chapters of the book to be pretty close to “done” now.

A pretty big refactoring of the sample application made me rewrite a massive chunk of the chapters that guide the reader through implementing the sample application and writing tests against it. IIRC, I closed the lid of my laptop Sunday evening around 11:30pm with a slight sense of satisfaction.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to drop a quick update on Building Serverless Applications with WebAssembly & Spin
.

Honestly, I’m really happy with how the book is shaping up right now. I’ve been sinking a lot of late-evening and early-morning hours into refining chapters, restructuring sections, and proofreading the code examples to ensure it’s as hands-on and practical as possible. It’s a labor of love, but seeing it come together makes every late night worth it.

I’m Writing a Book on WebAssembly and Spin

Hey friends 👋🏼,

If you’ve been following my activities over the recent years, you know I can’t stop talking about the third wave of cloud computing. Server-side WebAssembly is completely changing the game for cold-start latency and container bloat.

Today, I’m thrilled to announce I’m turning those talks and architectural patterns into a practical, hands-on guide:

Building Serverless Applications With WebAssembly & Spin

Sign up and Stay in the Loop

Instead of theoretical fluff, I structure the book in a way that readers will build a complete, multi-component serverless application from the ground up using Rust and Spin.

ShareCoffee eBook

About a week ago I finally published my first eBook on LeanPub
.

The book covers all the different ShareCoffee features and describes how to use them within SharePoint App projects. On about 100 pages all the different capabilities are explained and demonstrated using small code-snippets.

There is also a short SharePoint App introduction included if you’re not familiar with the SharePoint App platform. Leanpub is offering a flexible pricing model. So usually the minimal price for my eBook is $9.99 but based on a two-week poll the suggested price has been locked at $10.99 (but it’s entirely up to you how much you spend).
